A cloud of uncertainty surrounds the future of striker Osea Vakatalesau as he may not be allowed to play for the Papua New Guinea based soccer club - Hekari United in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Vakatalesau who flew to Papua New Guinea on Saturday without the knowledge of Lautoka soccer officials, may face suspension and a hefty fine again this Saturday when Lautoka soccer's disciplinary committee hears his case.

President, Shalendra Prasad said Vakatalesau is likely to face a long term suspension, adding the lanky striker will not be able to feature for Hekari United as the Blues camp has not given him his International Transfer Clearance.

Fijivillage also sought clarification from Fiji Football Association on the matter and Chief Executive, Bob Kumar revealed that only Lautoka Football has the authority to provide Vakatalesau with his release.

Kumar added if Lautoka Football suspends Vakatalesau from playing, then Hekari United will not be able to utilize the striker.

Lautoka soccer's disciplinary committee will decide this Saturday on the actions that will be taken against Vakatalesau.
