Floating bar and restaurant, Cloud 9 is expected to move to a new location within the next few days.

Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum had earlier declared that Cloud 9 was in breach of the Surfing Decree and had to close down.

One of the directors of Cloud 9, Tony Philp then decided to close it down when the police arrived at the floating bar and restaurant.

However Philp had a successful meeting with Acting Prime Minister and Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Acting Solicitor General Sharvada Sharma and Acting Director of Lands, Preetika Prasad yesterday.

Philp said Sayed-Khaiyum has also agreed to facilitate the relocation of Cloud 9.


Philp said Cloud 9 is likely to be relocated to the Mamanucas.

Sayed-Khaiyum is yet to comment.
