Close to a thousand students of Fiji National University who graduated yesterday were reminded of their duties towards their country.

FNU Vice Chancellor, Dr Ganesh Chand while giving his address told the graduating students, that they need to contribute back to the Fiji economy by staying in Fiji and working in various fields.

Chand stressed that the problem regarding shortage of skilled and qualified people in Fiji has existed because majority of our qualified people are migrating to greener pastures.

Chand adds the Fiji Government is investing large sums of money into tertiary institutions and students need to take into consideration the efforts of the Government in helping them finish their tertiary studies.
