Close to 3000 people living within the densely populated Suva to Nausori corridor are expected to get employment once international company Mindpearl is fully operational in the country.
This area has an estimated 200,000 people, and Mindpearl's Chief Executive, William Patterson in a press conference today, said they will initially employ 35 people. Mindpearl and Air Pacific have a new business partnership for outsourcing of Air Pacific's reservations, ticket sales, travel queries and booking functions.
When asked by Fijivillage News, he refused to reveal how much Mindpearl has invested in the country.
Mindpearls operations will be accommodated at the FTIB administered Kalabu Tax Free Zone where a complex is currently being converted into a state of the art ICT facility. The project is expected to be completed by September this year.
The FTIB is hopeful that new Mindpearl facility will prompt several other global ICT companies to take note of the investment potential that is available in Fiji.
Mindpearl has offices, Barcelona, Capetown in South Africa and Brisbane Australia.
