A determination will be made later today on whether Suva lawyer, Rajendra Chaudhry and Fiji TV's Close Up Show host, Anish Chand will be taken in for questioning.

Police Media Liaison Officer, Atunaisa Sokomuri said the Fiji TV interview with Chaudhry is being analysed to determine whether some of the material is inciteful.

Sokomuri said Chaudhry and Chand will be taken in for questioning following that assessment.

Meanwhile Fiji TV's Acting CEO, Tarun Patel said the TV station is extremely concerned and the censoring of the programme by the police is unwarranted.

Patel said all efforts will be made to retrieve the Master Tape for broadcast on the TV station.

The Fiji Media Council is waiting for a briefing from national television provider Fiji TV before any step can be taken.

Speaking to Fijivillage, chairman for the Council, Daryl Tarte said that he has heard about the police seizing the recorded Close Up program between Suva lawyer Rajendra Chaudhry and show host Anish Chand, but he cannot make any comments at the moment.

Tarte has revealed that Fiji TV have not contacted the council, therefore he will not comment further.
