A 24 year old clerk of Tokotoko, Navua was jailed for nine months by Magistrate Ana Rokomokoti after she pleaded guilty to charges of act with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Asena Vudreu stabbed her 56 year old father of Namadi Heights after he stopped her from drinking disorderly with her friends at her rented flat at Navua.
The court heard the complainant told the court that he had reconciled with her daughter and asked the court not to send her to jail.
However Magistrate Rokomokoti ordered that she will not consider suspended sentence for Vudreu due to the seriousness of the offence, as a custodial sentence will teach her to show respect to her father.
