The World Health Organisation is calling on people living in affected areas to try and clear all places where mosquitoes are likely to breed, to prevent an outbreak of dengue.
WHO’s Communicable Disease Surveillance Team Leader Dr Jacob Kool said as well as typhoid and leptospirosis, people must not forget that after a natural disaster mosquitoes are likely to breed faster causing an outbreak.
