There are clear indications that many families who have been badly affected by the recent floods will definitely need assistance in sending their children to school.
The Rama Krishna Mission which has been providing cooked meals to the affected families during the height of the floods and after the flood waters went down said the main concern now should also be education assistance for the students affected.
The Mission’s Swami Tadanand said they distributed grocery packs and clothes to more than 400 families last week but their main area of concern now is assisting the affected students.
He said there are many organizations now assisting with the ration packs so they can now shift their focus.
Swami Tadanand said for many families who have been badly affected, the flood waters took everything out of their homes.
He said they would need assistance for their children.
