Classes will resume in the Western Division as normal from tomorrow.
Ministry of Education, Permanent Secretary Dr Brij Lal said they have liaised with school heads in the division whose schools were damaged to make alternative arrangements.
He added the Ministry is aware that some parents will not be able to send their children to school depending on the locality, transportation situation, the weather and the well being of the families.
In such a situation it is up to the parents whether they want to send their children to school as the Ministry understands some might not be able to do so.
