Police are investigating an incident where a class three student of a school based in Suva was physically assaulted in the school's toilet yesterday.
Divisional Crime Officer Southern, SP Apisalome Tuiwakaya said the girl was found unconscious inside the toilet by other students at lunch time, who then reported it to the teachers.
The girl is admitted at the CWM hospital.
According to SP Tuiwakaya, a team of ten CID officers who are investigating the matter worked till midnight last night searching for clues.
He said officers from the Sexual Offences Unit are in the hospital with the girl.
SP Tuiwakaya has confirmed that they are yet to take the victim's statement and are awaiting the doctor's report.
Police are also calling for information.
