Labasa Police have questioned and released a 53 year old man who allegedly sodomized a class three student this week.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said the incident happened on on Thursday at the 53 year old man's place.
The mother reported the matter to police. Investigations continue.
Meanwhile, the Police and National Fire Authority are investigating a fire that destroyed a three bedroom house in Carreras Road, Votualevu Nadi yesterday leaving two people homeless.
The concrete corrugated iron and timber house was destroyed in a fire. Fire fighters had to fight against the windy and dry weather conditions to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby house.
