The round 12 clash between the Stormers and the Crusaders could be a grand final preview, with both teams among the consistent performers this season.

The South African derby between the Stormers and the Sharks last weekend gives a fair indication of the balance of power in the South African conference.

The 32-12 score suggests that Allister Coetzee has his troops primed to mount a serious charge for the title.

The Crusaders, beaten only by the Blues and Highlanders, have otherwise assembled a powerful argument to win title number eight.
