New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and Australian Foreign Minister Alexandra Downer have confirmed that they will not have any discussions with Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama as leaders discuss Fiji's situation behind closed doors at the Leader retreat.

And as our News Director Vijay Narayan reports from the Island of Vavau, the three leaders have not spoken to each other since the beginning of the Leader Forum.

Vijay Narayan Reports:Pacific Islands Leaders have arrived on the Island of Vavau outside Tonga to have their leaders retreat starting from this hour. Top of the agenda of course is the developments in Fiji. Fiji’s interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has already entered the meeting room and NZ Prime Minister Helen Clarke and Foreign Minister for Australia Alexander Downer has also just entered the meeting room. This is the second time they will be in a room together to talk about the issues concerning the Pacific and Downer and Clarke has both made it clear that they will not have any one on one meetings with Bainimarama later today although they say they are ready to listen what Bainimarama has to say and they are concerned about when elections will be held but Bainimarama has made it clear that he is standing by his commitment and will ensure that the Pacific Island Leaders do get a clear picture on what they trying to achieve here in Fiji. Just at the airport as Leaders got off to catch their vehicles to come to Vavau a 30 minute drive from the airport in Vavau and NZ PM Helen Clark was waiting for her vehicle, Bainimarama just came, just approached in a way attending by for his vehicle again no talks Helen Clark just looked away and Bainimarama got into his vehicle and he found his way on to Vavau. We’ve also got confirmation that Bainimarama is also saying that he will not try to speak to Helen Clark he says he will not make the first approach he does not want to be disappointed.
