Meanwhile, the United States of America's delegation to the Pacific Island Leaders Forum in Nuku’alofa, will be focusing on the December 5th takeover and the Regional Assistance Mission for the Solomon islands.
In a statement released by the US Embassy, Assistant Secretary of State, Christopher Hill said the Pacific is a critical issue for the Americans as it is a strategic region for them.
Declaring the year as " Year of the Pacific", Hill also said that the US promise that they will carry out their commitment to the Pacific and ensure Fiji's military permanent return to the Barracks and the return to a constitutional Government
