Vodafone Fiji Bati Captain Petero Civoniceva walked away with 2 major awards last night during the Fiji Bati awards night at the National Gymnasium.

Civoniceva scooped the world cup player of the year and golden star of the year awards for his outstanding performance at the Rugby League World Cup.

The Fiji National Rugby League Player of the Year award went to Josateki Sovau of Sigatoka Electric Sabeto Roosters.

Sabeto Roosters which also won the 2013 Vodafone Cup competition was also named club of the year.

Nabua Broncos and Fiji Bati centre Ilisavani Jegesa won the Backline player of the year while Former Bati Osea Sadrau received the Forward of the year.

Fiji Bati and 19 year old prop Tikiko Noke received the Rookie of the year award while Marist Brothers High School was named the school team of the year.

The Fiji Bati players to the Rugby League World Cup were also presented with medals.

Meanwhile New Zealand will meet Australia this Sunday at 3.30am in the final.
