Police are expected to question two senior civil servants and a metal contractor soon, for allegedly being involved in the water meter racket.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern, ASP Luke Rawalai has confirmed that two civil servants allegedly stole 340 water meters and later sold it to a scrap metal contractor.
It is also alleged that the two also sold some water meters to their friends at a much lower price.
The two who were also in charge of the bulk are expected to be taken in for questioning soon.
