The Methodist Church of Fiji will today address its members on their stand to refrain away from purchasing anything or engaging in any recreational activities on Sunday's.

Church Assistant General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu said that after the standing committee meeting last week they have decided that the church Ministers will start working with church members from today to ask them to keep Sunday as a day devoted for church.

Reverand Waqairatu adds that they will wait and see the progress of their decision before deciding whether there is a need to write to Town Council and City Councils to impose the Sunday ban.

Earlier this month at the church conference in Macuata, executives decided that to keep Sunday a holy day there is a need to ban shopping and recreational activities.
