The Methodist Church have confirmed that nearby churches and church halls will be used for billeting thousands of choir members who will take part in the Singing Competition on the first week of the Methodist conference.
General Secretary for the Methodist Church, Reverend Ame Tugawe said because of the changes made by the Interim government after the school break was brought forward, they will still need to accommodate their members.
He acknowledged the church Pastors for copying with the changes.
The conference date was to coincide with the initial 2 weeks school break, with the competition held at Furnival Park in Toorak.
However, as a result of the Fijian Teachers Association strike, the school break was brought forward, which began on the 6th of August to end on the 17th.
