The Methodist Church of Fiji is now working on plans on how they will cater for those church members who usually use the Methodist schools for accommodation during the Annual Conference which will start next week.

President, Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca said the church has accepted the interim regime's decision for schools to open during the Methodist Conference but the choir competition for primary and secondary schools will still take place.

According to Reverend Ratabacaca they made the announcement for the Methodist schools to open again next week after they received the confirmation from the Ministry of Education on Friday but they were surprised that Commodore Bainimarama said that the interim government decision is for all schools.

Meanwhile the interim administration remains firm that school holidays are from 6th to 17th August and no school in the country should ignore the directive.

Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said he is fully aware of the Methodist Church of Fiji's intentions to move the holidays for ten of their schools.

However that will not be allowed.
