The Coptic Orthodox Church has proposed to build an orphanage center in Legalega, Nadi which will house 100 homeless children.
Bishop Suriel who is currently in Fiji said this center will not only have an orphanage but will have space for a church and some shopping outlets.
Bishop Suriel said their main objective is to take care of the children who are unfortunate and need urgent help.
Bishop Suriel said apart from building an orphanage, the church is carrying out other initiatives which will help the poor.
