The Solevu committee of the Methodist Church of Fiji met yesterday and decided on two main issues that the conference proper and the Solevu will go ahead but on a smaller scale.
Assistant general secretary Reverend Tevita Nawadra said he will meet with Commissioner of Police Commodore Esala Teleni this week to discuss the conditions for the permit.
Reverend Nawadra also said the committee has decided that churches that are close to each other will have to combine during the conference.
The conference begins on the second week of the school holidays from 30th August to 4th September.
