Church ministers given time to think about issues raised
Assistant General Secretary, Reverend Tevita Nawadra said while this was done there were other church ministers who wanted the executives to stay on.
The question now being asked is whether a motion of no confidence can be moved against Tugaue and Waqairatu.
According to the Methodist Church constitution, the executives elected in the Church's Annual Conference can only be replaced or removed during the Annual Conference.
But the signs are now emerging that some church ministers and stewarts from the different circuits in the country want a change.
One of the main reasons for this is to ensure that the church executives and the Methodist Church as a whole focuses on the spiritual development of it's members and do not get themselves involved in political issues.
Reverend Nawadra said there were clearly two sides when the issue emerged after the Prime Minister's departure from the meeting on Wednesday.
Reverend Nawadra also revealed that the church ministers and Stewarts have been given time to think about the matter that they have now raised.
