A 55 year old Church minister appeared before Magistrate Eparama Rokoika yesterday charged with eight counts of rape.
Police Prosecutor Corporal Feroz Khan objected to bail saying tension is high within the family members and investigations are still continuing into the matter.
However, another pastor who was in court today acted as his assurity following which Magistrate Rokoika granted bail at a sum of $1000.
The Pastor now resides in Nadi while his daughter lives in Suva with her aunt.
The case is adjourned to the 15th of this month.
