8 Methodist Church leaders and officials are expected to appear in court today for a pre-trial case at the Suva Magistrate Court.
The eight include the President of the Church, Reverend Ame Tugawe, General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu, Reverend Tomasi Kanailagi, Reverend Apete Toko, Reverend Kalivati Ravoka, Sakaraia Koli, Ratu Inoke Seniloli and Livai Tuisaravere.
The 8 have been charged with participating in meetings in contravention to the Public Emergency Regulation which were carried out last year.
The 8 are represented by Suva lawyer Aseri Vakaloloma.
