The Methodist Church of Fiji is in a tight corner now, since there will be no Annual Methodist Church Conference come August and no money raised to pay for church debts and operations.

Church leaders are trying their very best to convince Commodore Frank Bainimarama again for another round of talks, however, according to Information Permanent Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Neumi Leweni, government will not change their stance there will be no meeting.

Bainimarama had earlier told the two church leaders not to discuss political issues and also made it clear that two church ministers, Reverend Manasa Lasaro and Reverend Tomasi Kanailagi must be removed from the church.
