The Methodist Church is hoping that the Commissioner Central will approve the permit for the Annual Methodist Church Conference that will be held in Lomanikoro, Rewa, in August.

General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu said police have agreed in principal that the meeting will go ahead but the church will have to put everything in writing and the last decision will be made by the Commissioner Central.

This is due to the fact that the Public Emergency Regulation will be extended for another 30 days and will now end on the 10th of June.

Meanwhile, the 54 villagers of Rewa are preparing to host more than 1,000 church leaders.
