The Methodist Church of Fiji is eagerly awaiting a confirmation from the Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni on when he will be meeting with them.

Church Assistant General Secretary Reverend Tevita Nawadra said that Teleni is yet to confirm again with them on the meeting date, after their meeting last week did not eventuate due to Teleni having a tight schedule.

Nawadra also clarified that the meeting is a normal procedure that the Commissioner does with the Church every year, but did not clarify whether the meeting will include the issue brought up by Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, that some Methodist Church Ministers names appeared on the Police payroll in 2006.

The Church is hoping that the meeting will take place this week as they have a lot of in-house issues to deal with.
