The Methodist Church in Fiji is confused with the Education Ministry's policy which requires lay preachers and reverends to be registered with the ministry.

General secretary Reverend Tevita Nawadra said they have asked the ministry for further consultation because they have already registered those who teach religious classes in schools but this excludes those pastors who lead morning devotion every Monday.

However, Minister for Education Filipe Bole stressed anyone who enters a school from the services organization or religious organizations must be registered with the Teachers Registration Board.
