The Methodist Church of Fiji is yet to receive any official word from the Public Service Commission on who will occupy the vacant space at the Reverend John Hunt building in Suva.

After the water department and scholarship unit moved out from the building two weeks ago the church is still waiting on the government to come back to them to confirm on which department is coming in.

Assistant General Secretary Tevita Nawadra said the church is keeping their fingers crossed that the PSC who are their contracted tenants will continue to pay the rent for the vacant office.

Nawadra confirmed that since the two government departments moved out from the building they have not met or received anything in writing from the PSC on their plans about the space at the John Hunt building.

PSC officials said Chairman Josefa Serulagilagi is looking into the matter but will not be able to answer any questions at the moment as he is in a Commission board meeting.
