Police have granted the permit to the Standing Committee of the Methodist Church of Fiji.

That has been confirmed by the Acting General Secretary of the Church, Reverend Tevita Nawadra who received the clearance this week from the Police Commissioner's office.

Reverend Nawadra said the Standing Committee will meet for three days starting next Tuesday in Suva.

He adds the permit clearly specifies the conditions which must be followed during the time of the meeting. The conditions stated that all those office bearers and ministers who are charged with breaching the Public Emergency Regulations and have appeared in court, must not be part of the meeting.

Meanwhile Nawadra said the agenda of the meeting will include the new appointments of the church ministers to their various circuits.
