The Methodist Church of Fiji has made it clear that it did not terminate one of its church Ministers because of their association with the Fiji Military Force.

Church General secretary, Reverend Ame Tugawe, said that they terminated the minister because he chose to stay with the military after returning from his duties in Sinai although the church wanted to post him to an outer-island.

The Methodist Church General Secretary said that the Minister told the church that it would be impossible for him to go to the outer island because he had an obligation to his army duties and the decision of the church executives was to terminate him.

Tugawe said that the relationship between the Methodist Church and the RFMF will not be affected as both intuitions know their role to the nation.
