The Assemblies of God Church has terminated one of its pastors in Labasa who is alleged to have raped his 17 year old girl over a period of time.
Church General Superintendent Reverend Pita Cili has confirmed that the pastor has been removed from his duties following the incident.
It is alleged that the 46 year old man raped his daughter a number of times in 2006. The girl reported the matter to her friends who then forwarded it to police.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern ASP Luke Rawalai has confirmed that they will question the pastor soon.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the case where the former pastor’s house was burnt down still continues.
