Religious organizations must not use the pulpit to influence members of their congregation on whether to support or oppose the People's Charter process and its intentions.
The Director Public Affairs for the Church Of Latter Day Saint Nemani Buresova said no matter what religious organization, the members must be allowed to decide for themselves on the Draft Charter.
Buresova added, while the LDS Church does not get involved in politics, it will always support initiatives which would improve the lives of the people.
Meanwhile, the Methodist Church of Fiji earlier confirmed that they will use the Annual Church conference which officially starts next week to tell members of the Church's stance against the People’s Charter process.
