Christmas is a time for families and communities in the Nation to come together in a spirit of sharing and caring for one another and those less fortunate in society.

These are the words of the Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama who said it is a time to spread the message of love, harmony and peace and to be showered with gifts and wishes.

In his Christmas message to the nation, Commodore Bainimarama said that it is the most cherished religious event in the Christian calendar, commemorating and celebrating the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ who came into this world to serve everyone irrespective of race, color, creed or religion.

While wishing the nation a safe, blessed and Merry Christmas, Commodore Bainimarama stressed that Jesus Christ taught that we are all united and equal in humanity and it is this fundamental and enduring teachings of brother and sisterhood that will shape the future of Fiji.
