Today marks the official end of Easter on the Christian calendar with the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion on Good Friday.

Vicar General of the Catholic Church Father Beni Kalodau said while Easter is a time of reflection, people must never forget what Jesus did for us, sacrificing himself to save us.

Kaloudau added like Jesus, people of all denominations must be selfless in their everyday lives, at home, at work and at church by giving, sharing, being tolerant and loving one another.

Meanwhile, Methodist Church Director Youth Group Reverend Viliame Daunabuna said people need to be reminded that the time for family is every day, not just Easter and we should make time for each other as life is too short.

Christians the world over, celebrate Jesus' resurrection after three days after he was put to death by his own people on Good Friday.

An action that is seen as one that saved the lives of people.
