Christians today celebrate Good Friday which is also called Holy Friday, a holiday observed primarily by Christianity commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.

Many today will be having prayers and services remembering the day Jesus Christ died.

This is the saddest day of Holy Week where Christians believe that the Savior Jesus Christ, was crucified after being betrayed by one of his 12 apostles named Judas Iscariot.

It is part of the Christian belief that Jesus died in order to save the world, and rose again three days later.

This will be celebrated tomorrow night and early Sunday morning.

The Holy Week began with Palm Sunday last Sunday depicting Jesus entry into Jerusalem where he was hailed King by the many believers, yesterday was also Holy Thursday where Christians celebrated Jesus last supper with his apostles.

Methodist Church of Fiji Acting General Secretary Reverend Tevita Nawadra said that Good Friday will always be the most important day for Christians because it was the day that Jesus came down to die for our sins.

Reverend Nawadra added Jesus showed his love for us when he died on the cross for everyone.
