Two delegates from a Chinese non-government organization are in the country on a weeklong fact finding mission with the National Fire Authority.

The two from the Chinese Fire Association have completed their tour of fire stations in the west and are currently looking at the Nausori and Valelevu fire stations.

According to NFA spokeswoman Mileta Ting, the two are assessing the communication skills and response of their firefighters to emergencies, as well as looking at the firefighting equipment.

Ting said this is the first time a fact finding mission is being carried out in the country and a report will be sent to the Chinese government.

This is after a MOU was signed between the NFA and the Chinese Fire Services earlier this year.
