China has sent its condolence message and Emergency Aid to Fiji.
China's Foreign Minister YANG Jiechi sent a condolence message to his Counterpart Ratu Inoke Kubuabola stating that he was shocked to learn of Fiji's suffer from recent Cyclone Tomas, which caused casualties and severe loss of property.
He extended his sincere condolences to all victims and believed that the Fiji people would conquer the disaster and rebuild their homes under the leadership of the Fiji Government.
Jiechi said the Chinese Government today handed over US$50,000 emergency humanitarian aid through the Red Cross Society of China to the Fiji Red Cross Society for the disaster relief and rehabilitation effort of the Fiji Government and people.
In addition, the Chinese Embassy in Suva donated $50,000 to the Prime Ministers National Disaster Relief and rehabilitation fund.
