The All China Women's Federation currently in the country met with various women's organisation in the Western Division on day one of their visit, discussing ways to better implement their strategic annual plans.
Minister for Women Dr Jiko Luveni said the delegation had a fruitful visit with the Soqosoqo Vakamarama Ba branch where they discussed and compared ways the respective organisations dealt with their affairs.
Dr Luveni said the meeting in turn will help improve the running of their organisations in order to achieve their long term plans.
Meanwhile yesterday the delegation went on a Fiji Tourism Council sponsored tour of the Plantation Island Resort in order to have a feel of what Fiji tourism is like, in the hopes of promoting Fiji as a favourable destination in China.
The delegation will be handing over sewing machines valued at $187,500 to the Fiji Women's Federation, next week, as well as paying a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister.
