The China Railway No.1 has submitted a report asking the Public Rental Board if they can work together to solve the commercial dispute over the development of the new Raiwai flats which is now on hold.

Acting Deputy Secretary for Local Government, Urban Development and Housing Kolinio Bola said the dispute is over three issues which the PRB will look into.

Bola said the dispute is over China Railway exceeding the $9 million contract budget they were allocated which now stands at $19 million, the company not following the building code of Fiji and structural requirements.

He added that the PRB will meet tomorrow to make a decision.

Construction of the new PRB Raiwai flats has been on hold for a few months.
