The new Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, Doctor Han Zhiqiang said with their commitment to see peaceful development in the country, they will ensure they do all within their powers to build their relationship with Fiji.
Zhiqiang said Fiji and China have a long standing history together and they will do within their power to see that Fiji gets the economic assistance they need.
China announced a stimulus package about $570 billion to maintain a stable and a relatively fast economic growth in the face of the Global Financial crisis.
Zhiqiang was formerly involved in the Chinese Foreign Service and is also the former Deputy Director General of the Foreign Ministry.
