Children with disabilities should not be left out.

These are the sentiments of 15 year old student of Fiji Society for the Blind Mika, who is visually impaired.

The Fiji Parent Support Group with the assistance of the Fiji Society for the Blind has organised a open day today and Mika said that this is an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents.

Mika who has been staying at the hostel since he was five years old says he has learned a lot and has overcome some of his difficulties.

Meanwhile, Class 5 student Fauzmin Nisha has urged people to come out in numbers and support them.

Nisha who also is visually impaired said she injured her eyes when she was four years old.

She said she wants to become a school teacher when she grows up.
