Children with existing bank accounts must register their Tax identification numbers with the Fiji Island Revenue Customs Authority.
FIRCA Chief Executive Officer Jitoko Tikolevu said this is after they discovered that parents are depositing a substantial amount of money into their children's account to avoid paying taxes.
Children will need to fill a TIN registration form and provide a certified passport photo and birth certificate.
Existing bank account holders have now till December 31st to register with FIRCA.
