Involving children in the Fiji day celebration is to instill patriotism within our younger generation from a young age.
Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Ratu Epeli Ganilau said children need to be taught from an early age about the importance of such celebration as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
He has also called on people to hoist Fiji=s flag to mark the occasion as it is a common bond that unites us all.
The celebrations this year will be a two day event starting tomorrow which will focus on school children.
The children will march from the Flea market to Albert Park at 8am tomorrow morning.
Friday is planned for the Fiji Day Parade by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces culminating with the military tattoo.
