Children rid of deformities
That wish was granted to two mothers whose children were both born with deformities and are now living a healthy normal life as they were operated by Interplast, a plastic surgeon group from Australia and New Zealand.
Ana Bulai's 5 month old baby, William had his cleft lip transformed after the surgery.
Bulai said it is hard to describe how happy she is.
Meanwhile, Amelia Bogirua said her 4 year old son Isimeli can now speak properly and be sent to school after undergoing surgery.
Interplast 100th visit top Fiji and has transformed lives for more than 40 years.
Interplast who is funded by Ausaid provides free reconstructive plastic surgery in developing countries, treating children and adults with clefts, disabling burns and hand injuries.
Interplast's focus is to train and to empower developing world doctors to perform surgeries on their own for generations to come.
