Children fly to India for heart surgery
This is the description given by Peter Fong, the grandfather of 6 month old James Nagalu, one of four recipients of the Vodafone ATH Foundation trip to India for heart surgery.
While thanking the Fiji College of General Practitioners Children's Heart Foundation and the ATH Fiji Foundation, Fong said no one knows better than the mothers of these four children the reality of a desperate heart.
James mum, Olivia said its been a long hard road for their family and at last her son has a chance at a full life.
Another recipient, 9yr old Paulini Wasoi's mum, Rosalia said she is grateful as the days of her daughter missing school will soon be over.
6month old James, 9yr old Paulini, 5month old Elenoa Rokobaro and 5month old Mereula Suqa will be flying out with their mothers tomorrow to India.
The Foundation said the trip costs close to a hundred thousand dollars.
