The Fiji Day celebrations in the old capital of Levuka have started with a big bang.
Secretary for the Levuka Tourism Association, John Milesi said the organizers ensured that the people of Levuka take part in the weeklong event.
Milesi said as they approach Friday, people will be able to witness the re-enactment of the Signing of the Deed of Cession.
Meanwhile students of Levuka will assemble at the Post Office square on Friday morning before the march proceeds to Nasau park through Levuka town for the Fiji Day celebrations.
