Efforts and work carried out by children in Fiji are now recognized globally after their achievement in winning the 2008 San Marino-Alexander Bodini Foundation Children's Awards.
Kids Link Fiji a child initiative, which operates with guidance from Save the Children Fiji was nominated by UNICEF Pacific to take part in the competition which also includes other countries throughout the world.
They were commissioned by UNICEF to carry our research on child protection issues in Fiji and raise awareness on the rights of the child with adults in Fiji.
Founding member Sera Vulavou said since Kids Link Fiji was established 7 years ago winning the awards shows the commitment of each individual members.
Kids Link Fiji received $20,000 US dollars prize-money together with the other two winners India and Nigeria.
