"Child birth is the leading cause of death amongst young women in the country."
This is the revelation made by the Patron of the Fiji White Ribbon Safe Motherhood Initiative, The First Lady, Adi Koila Nailatikau, at the 1st Anniversary celebrations today.
Adi Koila added that this issue is alarming, and she is assured the White Ribbon campaign is on target to educate the youth of this country in addressing maternal health.
The Anniversary was celebrated at the Fiji School of Nursing today with orators from schools all over Fiji speaking on the importance of Maternal Health.
