Police have raised concerns that parents are using their children to deal drugs after a mother forced her 12-year-old son to hide a bag of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
This comes after police found 17 bags of dried leaves with a street value of close to $5000 in an early morning raid at Davuilevu Housing.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the raid was carried out yesterday after receiving a tip.
The dried leaves have been sent to the Koronivia Research Station for analysis before any charges are laid.
